The Delaware County Commissioners formed the Delaware County
Bicentennial
Commission and appointed Richard Helwig, chairman of the commission.
The Bicentennial Commission is forming the
umbrella under which individuals and groups
may plan events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the formation of
Delaware County
Events are being planned to
explore our primitive inhabitants, our Native American
ancestry, our rugged pioneers and settlers, our early settlements, our
wars and peace,
our agricultural past and industrial development.
But most of all events are planned for the entire family to enjoy and
learn! |
